The work of Fig Tree Foundation began with committed volunteers, and that is how the work is carried forward today. Volunteers play many roles at the organization, from supporting the work of Fig Tree Foundation itself to working with member organizations to assist in the development of their projects.
From IT to research, the Administration Team uses its skills and knowledge towards ensuring the capacity of Fig Tree Foundation to deliver on its mission and vision.
Volunteers can gain IT and research skills and get experience using different programs and apps.
The Engagement Team works to stay connected and up-to-date with our member organizations, and to communicate about Fig Tree to the wider public. Volunteers develop skills in communication and social media.
In addition to raising funds through grants, events or campaigns, the Fund Development Team strategizes ways to create and enhance donor relationships. Volunteers build their skills in fundraising, grant writing, and strategy implementation.
The Member Services Team reviews projects that are submitted for funding and helps member organizations address their specific challenges. Volunteers learn about project management, grant evaluation, and problem-solving.
